Next job

The step this station should do now: the most urgent pending step in its group whose earlier steps are finished and whose materials are on hand — or nothing, if the station is not idle or nothing is ready. Start here (operator) takes it. An integration asks the same question with GET /api/workstations/{id}/next.

Set status

Ready (idle), Busy, Blocked, Offline, with an optional note. This is the human half of the integration handshake: clear the printer's bed, tap Ready, and the farm manager's next poll gets a job.

Loaded material records what the station is set up with — a printer's filament, a booth's colour — from the raw materials. Next-job prefers work in it and flags a job that needs something else; when the manager asks for a spool change, fit it, set it here, then tap Ready. Asserted by a human because the printer cannot tell black from red.
