Assets
Things in service, as opposed to in stock or being made: a hull, an engine, a mould, a printer. Each belongs to an asset class, which gives it its meters and service plans, and Foudra works out when each service falls due.
| Column | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Serial number | The asset's own number, unique in its class |
| Name | What people call it, if anything ("Garbh") |
| Class | Its asset class |
| Reference | Another system's name for it, which scripts use to send readings |
| Site, Owner | Where it is, whose it is |
| Status | Active, Out of service or Retired; only active assets fall due |
Services due lists what needs doing now; Asset classes sets up the kinds of asset; New asset adds one. An asset you built in Foudra is better commissioned from its serial number's page, which keeps its build history linked.
